How to Send PM Agent Data on Supported i5/OS Releases

Document Description
This document discusses how to set up the IBM i / iSeries to send PM Agent (formerly PM400 or PM for System i) data, for each supported release.

For V5R4, and V6R1, there are two options to sending PM data. The data can be sent daily, along with the Electronic Service Agent (ESA) Inventory data sends.

The information below describes what needs to be set up for the data transmission.

1. Ensure the products and PTFs are on the system

2. Activate PM Agent

3. Configure the communications

5. Test

oIssue the GO SERVICE command.
oSelect Option 2 and take the defaults.
oMonitor the QYPSJSVR job for the QYIVRIPS job to submit.
